The 2022 Compass lineup begins with the Sport trim. All-new exterior features include a wider front fascia, providing a more aggressive appearance. While the signature seven-slot upper grille remains, designers widened the middle and lower grilles, allowing for more engine airflow. The exterior lighting is now fully LED with LED projector headlamps, and 16-inch alloy wheels come standard on the Compass Sport. Inside the completely redesigned cabin, you’ll find an updated instrument panel, a standard 8.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, slim HVAC vents, a redesigned center console with greater storage space, and more. In addition, the Compass’s full safety and security suite includes blindspot monitoring with rear cross-path detection, active lane management, full-speed forward collision mitigation, and automatic emergency braking. That’s certainly an impressive start to the lineup!

Following the Sport trim is the Latitude trim which offers more opulent interior features like push-button start, ambient LED lighting, a premium-wrapped steering wheel, premium cloth/vinyl seats, and a leather-wrapped shift knob. Standard exterior features for the Compass Latitude include keyless entry, Gloss Black heated side mirrors, cornering LED lighting, automatic headlights, automatic headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, and body-color door handles. The Latitude trim is also eligible for more options like a panoramic sunroof, power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, and more!

The Latitude LUX model is brand new for the 2022 model year and offers remote start, 17-inch alloy wheels, remote start, an automatically dimming rearview mirror, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, an 8-way power driver’s seat, leather upholstery, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, and heated front seats. Additionally, the Compass Latitude LUX offers a 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen, encompassed in bonded glass for a seamless, futuristic look. Lastly, the LUX trim comes standard with Active Drive 4×4. Selec-Terrain traction management is also standard with Sand/Mud, Snow, and Auto drive modes.

The Compass Limited also features Active Drive 4×4 with Selec-Terrain. Other standard features include luxurious features like dual-zone automatic climate control, a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather upholstery, and heated front seats. The color scheme of the dash and door trims seamlessly incorporates Sepia, Steel Grey, and Black, while the rest of the interior is accented with Burnished Copper stitching. The exterior features rain-sensing wipers, side mirrors with integrated turn signals, Bright Chrome and Silver Painted accents, Bright Chrome roof rails, a Gloss Black roof, and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels with Gloss Black pockets.

The Trailhawk trim has always been the most off-road capable Compass. This is thanks to the Active Drive Low 4×4, Selec-Terrain with Rock mode, a 1-inch factory lift, front and rear red tow hooks, high-strength steel skid plates, and all-terrain tires on 17-inch alloy wheels. In addition, the anti-glare decal on the hood of the Compass Trailhawk trim has been upgraded with a black and red color scheme. Exclusive to the Trailhawk trim is a Matte Black upper grille.
