What powers the 2021 Jeep Gladiator?
Two engines are available for the 2021 Jeep Gladiator. First is the standard 3.6L V6 engine that is rated for 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The V6 is linked to a 6-speed manual transmission, while an 8-speed automatic is optional. Available to the Sport, Overland, and Rubicon configurations is a 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 that kicks out 260 horsepower and a whopping 442 lb-ft of torque. The EcoDiesel engine comes paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. All Gladiator models come standard with four-wheel drive with a transfer case for superior off-road capability.
What are some standard features for the Gladiator?
First and foremost, it should be mentioned that, although the Gladiator is a rugged work truck, it still offers the Wrangler’s convertible capability. The Gladiator comes with a removable soft or hardtop with a sunroof, removable doors, and a fold-down windshield for that iconic open-air freedom. The Gladiator also features the Wrangler’s iconic design with round headlights surrounding a seven-slot grille, trapezoidal fender flares, a high and wide stance, and interior drain plugs for easy cleaning after a day on the trails. Some other standard features include a 5-inch infotainment touchscreen, cloth upholstery, manual windows and doors, lockable storage behind rear seats, and skid plate protection for the transfer case and fuel tank.
What features are available for the 2021 Gladiator?
Higher Gladiator trim levels upgrade everything from interior luxury to off-road capability and everything in between. Stepping up from the Sport to the Overland trim, you’ll find 18-inch alloy wheels, power windows and door locks, heated side mirrors, tinted rear glass, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, two USB ports, a 115-volt outlet, and more. The Mojave and Rubicon trims offer even greater off-road capability. The Mojave brings Desert Rated capability, a wider track, high-clearance fender flares, 33-inch all-terrain tires, FOX suspension components, and an electronic locking rear differential. The Trail Rated Rubicon brings an electronic locking front and rear differential, Rock-Trac part-time 4×4 with a two-speed transfer case, electronic disconnecting sway bar, 11.1 inches of ground clearance, and more!
